The Chest of Essences
Very few know that this teacher from Puerto de Santa María has Granada ancestors. Many know, however, that he is one of the most renowned in today’s flamenco singing. With a very powerful voice of his own that makes him a recognizable echo and full of personality, maestro Pansequito is an ace of seamless cante jondo, a flamenco resistance singer, always on guard to defend the jonda essences. The master of the impossible linking, the singer of pinch and emotion, one of the pioneers in the incorporation of new instruments to flamenco, now returns to the Sacromonte of his ancestors with Miguel Salado’s sober guitar going straight to the soul.
