The Thousand and One Nights of a Woman

From that little girl who dreamed under the shade of the palm tree in the garden of her grandmother’s house in Seville, to the artist who opens great stages all over the world, there is a universe of sensations and a lot of work. María Pagés is an artist who is not satisfied with what she learns nor with what she sees, but rather takes creation to impossible limits to manage to materialize that idea on stage. De Scheherazade is the story of women hidden behind an iconic name. It is the story in twelve scenes of what we are; the protohistory that does not need headlines or social networks, but rather remains in the everyday, in each one of us: housewives, mothers, workers, professionals, researchers…, women who sustain the world and who shamelessly mix feelings such as sensitivity and value. There are Carmen, Medea, Yerma, Saramago’s Blimunda or García Márquez’s Úrsula…, claiming femininity as a moral commitment.
