Flamenco and Japanese art in a unique fusion
On the occasion of the twentieth anniversary of her company, Eva Yerbabuena shares creativity and stage with the Japanese artist Anna Sato, a singer of shima uta, traditional music of the island of Amami, in this evoking show. The Granada born dancer has conceived Cuentos de azúcar as an adventure of the senses which approaches sound and cultural fusion shrouded by a minimalist set design. National Dance Award in 2001, Yerbabuena claims this creation has represented a great challenge and has inspired her to move into new directions, never explored before with her dance.
