Experimenting Flamenco

Niño de Elche is one of the most famous artists of recent times. He started as a flamenco singer winning first prizes throughout Spain. Today, he denies flamenco and places himself in another musical space. Loved by some, hated by others, even these excesses of empathy seem to respond to a strategy that has launched him to fame and to the altars of music and poetry. His bulging poetic sense, a lush knowledge of music in all its expressions, a delicate sensitivity for writing, plus his fine thinking, his agile and provocative lyrics, his lyrical sense of reflection on his own work and his way of walking through the world, make him a unique artist. His style is difficult to label because it melts in a variety of musical forms. In many interviews, he says he is interested in heterodoxy, which cannot be explained. All in all, he is creating an original, renewing, insightful, controversial and judgmental hallmark. Niño de Elche is a musician who leaves no one indifferent.
