The 69th edition of the Granada Festival will open with this poignant Requiem, in the Cathedral of Granada, as a tribute to the victims of the Covid-19 pandemic, with the Orquesta y Coro Ciudad de Granada, conducted by Andrea Marcon, who will complete his artistic tenure with this sacred concert, and a stellar vocal quartet made up with the North American soprano Nadine Sierra and the Spanish singers Carlos Mena (countertenor), Xabier Anduaga (tenor) and Carlos Álvarez (bass-baritone).
This charity concert is organised by the Granada Festival, the Cathedral of Granada and CaixaBank, through its Social Action in collaboration with La Caixa Foundation, which is carrying out an intense social work with people who have been left unprotected due to the current pandemic.
This concert will be organised with absolute respect to the sanitary rules and Spanish Government guidelines, and will be broadcast live by Radio and TV.
