Great Victoria for the ‘a cappella’ music

On the ocassion of the 50th anniversary of the Manuel de Falla Courses, the Granada Festival wants to pay tribute to the founding pieces of choral music. Under the leadership of Mathieu Romano, the Coro de la Orquesta Ciudad de Granada in collaboration with the pupils of the course will present a selection of a a capella pieces by Tomás Luis de Victoria and William Byrd, together with other pieces by more contemporary authors (such as Francis Poulenc and Igor Stravinsky), and even authors from our time (such as Arvo Pärt or the young Norwegian Ola Gjeilo, whose piece Ubi caritas is inspired in the choral music by Maurice Duruflé, also present in the programme).
