Vocal and instrumental Academy devoted to repertoire of early Baroque. A final concert in the framework of the FEX (International Festival of Music and Dance of Granada) will be held to show the result of the course, and will be subject of tour through other Festivals or theaters in Spain or abroad.
Classes will consist of technique and performance of the repertoire, chamber music sessions and rehearsals with the instrumental ensemble.
The Academy is composed of a vocal part integrated by singing students, and an instrumental ensemble.
Participants
Singing: professional singers and students in their last years of studies, who want to extend their vocal experience and performance opportunities.
Instrumental ensemble: members of the ensemble will accompany singers in the preparation of the repertoire, rehearsals and final concert.

Contents
Classes on vocal and instrumental technique and performance, focused on works by Claudio Monteverdi and his time, as well as on his influences. Other repertoire freely chosen by the students will also be welcome.
Members of the instrumental ensemble must come to the course with the repertoire perfectly studied.
Classes will be given in Spanish and English
Dates
From June 24th to 28th both included, in morning (10.00 to 14.00h) and afternoon (17.00 to 19.00h) sessions. Concert will take place on June 28th in the evening.

Scholarships
Grants (fees, no accommodation nor travel expenses are covered) can be applied within the deadline for this activity. Please read registration enrollment conditions

Instrumental ensemble: it will consist of 3 or 4 winds (recorders and cornets), 4 or 6 violins, 2 violas, 2 cellos, 2 viola da gamba, 2 double basses, 3 baroque guitars, theorbo or archilaud) and 2 harpsichords
Observers will be welcome to the sessions of June 27th and 28th. Applications shall be atended in order or reception.
Selection process
Those interested in taking part in this Academy must indicate in their application, a résumé and a link (Youtube or similar) to a video of a recent performance (5-10 minutes length, with good quality of sound and image) of works by Monteverdi and his time, and his influences. Selection will be made by the teachers and acceptance will be notified to successful applicants by e-mail.
