NEW DEADLINE: APRIL 29th at 6 pm

 

Vocal and instrumental academy devoted to the repertoire of early Baroque. In its third edition, contents of the Academy will be focused on instrumental music from the 18 th century. Participants will work on the most important musical forms and the way to confront a work, from pure technical perspective to the most theatrical and affective view.

Activity will comprise classes, rehearsals and two concerts in the framework of  the 71st International Festival of Music and Dance of Granada.

 

Participants

Students in their last years of musical training at High conservatories and Music Schools, students of master’s degree in music performance, newly graduates who want to enrich their musical experience and performance opportunities.

Participants will be selected by the teaching staff (their decission will be final) and will have to bring to the course the scores perfectly studied, in order during the classes and rehearsals to put the final touches on the works.

Dates

Course and rehearsals: from June 16th to June 22nd (June 20th- day off) in morning and afternoon sessions. Schedule will be given to the students once enroled.

Performances: June 23rd  (Auditorium Manuel de Falla) and 24th (a village close to Granada to be confirmed)

Fees: free activity for the members of the Academy. They will also receive a grant of  € 250 for their accommodation and/or per diems and travel expenses.

AIE, the Spanish management entity for music performers and executant musicians offers grants for active participants in some activities of the Manuel de Falla Courses, this Academy included. Deadline for applications is April 22nd at 6pm. More information at www.aie.es

Selection process

 

Those interested in taking part in the Academy are kindly requested to indicate in their application form, a link (YouTube or similar) to a video with good sound and image quality, including the performance of 2 or 3 works from the European Baroque, with or without accompaniment, and a duration of at least 5 minutes.
