A Jazz Feast
This ensemble with overtones of a jazz laboratory, Valencia Jazz Top 7, has become one of the most exciting realities of national choral jazz. There is in their language a collective voice as intelligent as it is thrilling, despite the fact that one can find in their credits a list of jazzmen with leadership and musical authority of their own, from the most obvious, the alto saxophonist Perico Sambeat, to the tenorist Javier Vercher or the trumpeter David Shepherd. All of them give themselves over to group jazz, being encouraged from each of their trenches, shifting between "bopera" energy and the urbanity and Mediterranean nature of their own musical biographies. A real party in itself.
