A Diva In Love

She is one of the great sopranos of the international lyrical stages. Her interpretations of Donizetti's queens, of the main roles of Verdi, Puccini or veristic repertoires are followed with enthusiasm by opera lovers from all over the world, but a diva also has the right to relax in chamber concerts, if what Sondra Radvanovsky does on stage can be so called, since the singer devotes all the imaginable passion in each appearance. Here she will do so in a recital about love that begins in baroque mode by giving voice to two of the great female protagonists of London in the 17th and 18th centuries, Purcell's Dido and Handel's Cleopatra. Then she will sing songs in Russian, German, Italian and English to finish with another of her great roles, that of Maddalena from Andrea Chénier by Giordano and its immortal La mamma morta.
