Festival
de Granada

Once the 72 edition of the Festival is concluded, we would like to THANK all the collectives and people who have made it possible: the guest artists, our Board of Governors, the Board of Patrons, the Friends of the Festival, the technical and human staff of the Festival, and last but not the least, our audience, to whom all our efforts are devoted.

The 73 EDITION OF THE GRANADA FESTIVAL will take place from June 7 to July 14 2024.

The new program will be available soon. In the meantime, you may revisit the contents of the 2023 edition.

FEX

The Extension of the Festival returns one more year to its rendezvous with the citizens in the streets, squares, parks, theatres, palaces and churches of the various districts of the capital and the province of Granada. This is reflected in a cultural offer which establishes links with the Festival’s general program, welcoming the performances of the Academia Barroca del Festival, Clara Montes, the flamenco guitar player Carlos de Jacoba, cellist Josetxu Obregón and Ton Koopman, Resident Artist, who will be offering a family performance, Cecilia.

The revival of the zarzuela La Lola se va a los puertos, done by the University of Granada, will be one of the special proposals to be enjoyed within the program offered in the province, stretching from the port in Motril to the mountains of Sierra Nevada.

We continue with our commitment with dance, circus, family, solidarity and inclusive proposals, as well as music from other latitudes. Young artists from our dance and music conservatories enjoy their own space within the program, as well as the Municipal Music Band and the different showcases of the Manuel de Falla Courses. Two of the activities of the meeting taking place in Granada at that time organized by Europa Creativa, Common Ground, are also include in the Fex program.

The FEX, in its twentieth anniversary transforms Granada and its province in a great summer stage.

This year for the first time, the FEX will be traveling outside of the province of Granada, to the Teatro Infanta Leonor in Jaén, with a concert by the Joven Orquesta Nacional de España (JONDE), under the baton of the great Israeli conductor Eliahu Inbal.

The brochure of the Fex will be published in spring, with the detailed description of all the activities and the access conditions.
